Meet John

John is the founder of John Dukes Photography LLC and a full-time professional photographer.

He is a proud U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Verizon Communications after 30 years of service. His background in leadership, discipline, and attention to detail carries into every wedding and portrait session.

John is an active member of the KelbyOne Community, a KelbyOne Instructor, and a certified professional photograher with Professional Photographers of America. His award-winning work has been featured in Photoshop User Magazine and is displayed in homes, restaurants, hotels, and offices throughout the United States.

In addition to wedding and portrait photography, John is passionate about travel, landscape, wildlife, and cityscape photography. His fine art work can be found at John Dukes Fine Art.

Meet Tracy

Tracy is the Creative Director of John Dukes Photography and the calm presence behind the scenes.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and Art from Valparaiso University and has been immersed in photography her entire life. Her father is a professional photographer and photographic educator, and Tracy spent many hours in his darkroom learning lighting, composition, and the artistry of image creation.

Tracy brings warmth, creativity, and a natural ability to connect with people — especially children and families. Her eye for detail, styling, and environment design plays a significant role in shaping the look and feel of every session.

While our specialty is wedding and engagement photography, we also photograph maternity, newborn, family, senior portraits, corporate headshots, and special events.

Our Mount Airy studio is fully equipped with professional lighting and thoughtfully curated props. Whether in studio or outdoors throughout Maryland, every session is guided with care and intention.
