Join John and Tracy for a Wildlife Photography Adventure at Huntley Meadows Park!
Experience the natural beauty of Huntley Meadows Park, one of the most enchanting wildlife habitats in the Washington DC region. Winter and spring bring a unique variety of waterfowl to this area and your opportunities will be amazing. The park's boardwalk provides close-up access to these birds and stunning landscapes, along with the chance to spot other wildlife and maybe even some river otters!
What You’ll Learn:
- Master wildlife photography techniques.
- Be prepared for the perfect shot.
- Use focus settings that deliver sharp images.
- Optimize your exposure and camera settings.
- Explore gear options and recommendations.
What You’ll Photograph:
Expect a range of photo opportunities, including waterfowl, songbirds, mammals, and scenic landscapes.
Recommended Gear:
- A DSLR or mirrorless camera.
- Telephoto zoom or prime lens with a minimum 300mm focal length.
- Wide-angle, macro, or 50mm prime lenses are great additions.
- Tripods are welcome, but keep in mind the boardwalk's narrow path. Consider renting gear if needed – Lens Pro to Go is highly recommended!
Pre-Class Zoom Session:
Before the event, we'll host a live Zoom session to discuss tips, techniques, and camera settings. The session will be recorded for those unable to attend live.
